This notice provides information about our privacy policies and procedures. Prosperity Life Group is very aware and protective of the privacy concerns of our customers, former customers, applicants, and visitors to our web site. We are committed to adhering to all applicable laws and regulations governing the privacy of your personal information.

This policy statement is provided to help you understand how we collect, use and protect any personal information you may provide on our web site.  Except as described below, we do not collect any information about you while you browse our web site.   Whenever you do supply personal information, such as your name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address, it is used solely to answer your inquiry, comply with your request, or supply you with information about new products and services to help you meet your needs.  When we do collect information about you, we may share it with our affiliates (including affiliated websites under common ownership or control) and designated service providers as permitted by law. 

This Privacy Policy does not apply to personal information that we collect about our customers pursuant to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act or the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. If you are a customer of the one of the Prosperity Life Group companies, and you use the customer portal to change your accounts or account information, we will handle that information in accordance with our GLBA Privacy Policies and HIPAA Privacy Notices that apply to your relationship with us.

Information Collected and Sources of Collection 

Like many web sites, we collect limited Internet or other Network Information about our users and their systems. When you visit our site, we may collect certain information from cookies (such as a list of the site pages you visited), IP addresses (the Internet address of your computer), browser type, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, clickstream data, the HTTP conversation between your browser and our web servers, and other similar technologies. It is collected to help us analyze usage patterns, improve the site’s overall performance, and provide information useful to our users to give us an idea of which parts of our web site you visit and how long you spend there.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Prosperitylife.com places a session ID “cookie” on a visitor’s computer so that the web server can track individual user session variables. The site uses session variables in the majority of its pages. The cookie “expires” whenever the visitor closes his or her web browser.

Specifically, our website uses Google Analytics to collect and analyze user data.  Google Analytics assigns each user a Client ID which can be used to track that user’s activity on the site, to identify how they reached the site, and to report on how long the user remained on each page of the site.  Both Google and us can access the Client ID and activity data.

Correction of Personal Information

We will rely on the information that you give us, so it is important that all of the details are accurate and up-to-date.  If your personal information is incorrect or changes, and you are a customer, please use the customer portal to correct the information.  If you are unable to use the portal, please Contact Us to correct our records. 

“Do Not Track” Requests

Because we do not track our web site users over time and across third-party websites, we do not respond to browser do-not-track signals.

Links to Other Internet Sites

Our web site provides links to other web sites that we think may be useful to you. We do not own or control those web sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices used by other web site owners and cannot guarantee that your privacy on those sites will be protected.

Security

We have implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security to protect personal information collected online from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Our employees follow a company-wide privacy policy.  Only authorized personnel are allowed access to your personal information.  Those employees are trained to safeguard the confidentiality of this information.

For certain services offered on the website, such as the customer and agent portals, we may require the use of encryption technologies and/or require you to use a UserID and password.  You are responsible for the confidentiality and use of your User ID and password.  If you become aware of any loss, theft or unauthorized use of your UserID, password, social security number or account number, please notify us immediately.

Email 

If you send an e-mail to us via our website, once we receive your e-mail we comply fully with our privacy policy in protecting your information as required by law. Your e-mails will be routed to the appropriate department and will be handled by Prosperity Life Group employees who can address your e-mail contents. Please remember, however, that information sent through the internet is not secure.  Email services that may be provided through prosperitylife.com generally are not encrypted and do not provide a secure or private means of communication with us.  We are not responsible for the security or confidentiality of communications you send to us through the Internet using e-mail.

Children’s Privacy

This site and its content are not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 18 or knowingly allow such persons to register for this site. Additionally, in the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us using the contact information provided below.
