Nicholas von Moltke joined Prosperity as President and was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Prosperity and its subsidiaries in April 2019. Effective July 1, 2019, he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Prosperity, Mr. von Moltke spent 15 years as a senior executive helping to build Global Atlantic. As a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, he oversaw the build-out of the platform and the execution of 10+ block reinsurance and M&A transactions, and through the spin-out into an independent company, he was named President and COO and led the effort to develop its retail sales capabilities. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. von Moltke was President of GE Employers Reinsurance (“ERC”) US Life & Health business, after moving to the US from Europe, where he had been Managing Director of ERC’s EMEA business. He also spent time in Europe working as a management consultant. Mr. von Moltke has an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a BA from Middlebury College.

Deva Mishra is the CIO of Prosperity’s underwriting companies, as well as CEO of Prosperity Asset Management. He joined Prosperity in July 2019 and has 17 years of experience in capital allocation, strategic M&A, and credit and structured products. Previously, Deva was the Deputy CIO of Global Atlantic Financial Group and former Vice President of Structured Products at Goldman Sachs.

Previously, she was General Counsel for a Roanoke-based vision tech start-up and spent over ten years with Covington & Burling in Washington, DC as part of its Commercial Litigation group focused on the insurance sector.

He joined Prosperity in August 2022 and has 15 years of experience in Non-GAAP valuation, annuities modeling, and enterprise risk management. Previously, Vincent was Lead Director, Head of Statutory Valuation, Economic Reporting, and Actuarial ALM at Equitable Financial, and Vice President & Actuary for various functions at Prudential Financial. Vincent is a CFA Charterholder, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.

Previously, Subodh was SVP of Black Diamond Capital Partners, an insurance-focused private equity fund. Subodh is a CFA Charterholder and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries.

She has 22 years of experience in business acquisition and integration, transformation initiatives, and insurance operations. Kathleen also serves as a Non-Executive Director for American Enterprise Group.

Bruce W. Schnitzer
Bruce W. Schnitzer
Bruce W. Schnitzer is the Chairman of the Prosperity Board of Directors. He was appointed as a member in October 2019, and elected Chairman in August 2020. He has been a successful private equity investor since 1985 and Chairman of Wand Partners, a private equity firm specialized in insurance and other specialty financial services, since 1987. From 1977 to 1985, Mr. Schnitzer was a senior executive with Marsh & McLennan, where he served as President and CEO of Marsh, Inc. (the world-wide insurance broker) and as Chief Financial Officer of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (NYSE-MMC). Prior to joining Marsh & McLennan, Mr. Schnitzer was a Vice President and head of Mergers & Acquisitions at Morgan Guaranty Trust Company (J.P. Morgan) — 1967-76.
Mr. Schnitzer is a director of several other private companies in which Wand is involved. He also serves on several non-profit boards, including as Chairman of The Institute of Human Origins, a Director of The Litchfield Land Trust, and the Scherr-Thoss Charitable Foundation. Mr. Schnitzer graduated from the University of Texas, Austin (B.B.A. and M.B.A.).

Will Beshears is a member of the Prosperity Board of Directors and was appointed in January 2019. He is an Associate Portfolio Manager with Elliott Management based in New York. Prior to joining Elliott, Mr. Beshears worked at the private equity firm Kohlberg, Kravis & Roberts (KKR) and in the investment banking division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. He holds a B.S., magna cum laude, from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mark Cicirelli is a member of the Prosperity Board of Directors. He was elected Chairman in January 2019, and appointed as a member in August 2020. Mr. Cicirelli is a Portfolio Manager and US Head of Insurance at Elliott Management, a NY-based investment firm, which he joined in 2005. Previously he worked at TH Lee Putnam Ventures, a private equity fund, and at J.P. Morgan & Company. Mr. Cicirelli graduated from Dartmouth College with an AB in government and economics, and from Harvard University with an MBA. He also serves on the boards of Opus Bank, Aeolus Capital Management, Triple Flag Mining Finance, and Bernoulli Health, and the boards of the All-Stars Project and West Side Montessori School, both New York based non-profits.

Anne Melissa Dowling
Anne Melissa Dowling is a member of the Prosperity Board of Directors and was appointed in 2017. She is an accomplished insurance industry executive with significant private sector, public sector service, and board experience. She has also served at a high level in state government positions. In 2015, she was recruited by newly elected Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner as the state’s Director of Insurance. She led highly successful regulatory innovations, developing and delivering creative solutions to an ever-expanding set of dynamics driven by technology, globalization, and a historically low interest rate environment. Prior to serving in Illinois, Ms. Dowling was appointed as Connecticut’s Deputy Commissioner of Insurance by newly elected Governor Malloy’s administration in 2011. Her portfolio included virtually every domestic regulatory issue effecting the insurance industry. Over three years, she led successful initiatives in such diverse areas as healthcare, financial services, and consumer outreach. In 2014, she was Connecticut’s Acting Commissioner of Insurance, leaving the post in 2015. Ms. Dowling had a highly successful career in domestic and international insurance investment and operating divisions, which included executive roles with Massachusetts Mutual (MMG), Aetna, and Travelers. She grew the Institutional Insurance Division of MMG from startup to $13 billion in assets under management. Prior to that, she was Chief Investment Officer at Connecticut Mutual. Ms. Dowling is an Advisory Board Member for the North American Connected Insurance Observatory, (a think tank formed in 2016 and dedicated to engaging the insurance industry and innovation leaders around automated vehicles). For a period of five years, she served as Director of Spectranetics Corporation (Nasdaq, SPNC) on its Audit, Executive, Compensation, and Nominating and Governance committees. She has also served on several non-profit and educational boards of trustees including The Hartford Public Library (President), Amherst College, The University of Connecticut Foundation, and Miss Porter’s School, amongst others. She currently serves on the board of directors for Aix Capital (AXS), HealthOme, Keystone Agency Advisors, and most recently, as Senior Advisor to Bain Capital Insurance and Carpe Data. Ms. Dowling is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a graduate of Amherst College and the Columbia University School of Business.
Jose Montemayor is a member of the Prosperity Board of Directors and was appointed in January 2019. He has over twenty-five years of experience in all aspects of insurance regulation, operations, and Insurance M&A, including six years as the gubernatorial appointed Commissioner of Insurance for the State of Texas. Mr. Montemayor was instrumental in creating protocols for the early identification and intervention of companies at risk of insolvency, which have been credited with dozens of successful company rehabilitation interventions. Mr. Montemayor is currently a Director of CNA Financial Corp. (NYSE: CNA), Old American Capital Corporation, and Old American County Mutual Insurance Company, Glacier Insurance Company, Prosperity Life Insurance Group LLC, Shenandoah Life Insurance Company, SBLI USA Life Insurance Company, Inc., Seton HealthCare Family (member of Ascension Health), the Seton Healthcare Plan. Mr. Montemayor is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Texas Society of CPAs, the AICPA, and the Society of Financial Examiners. He is a graduate of St. Edwards University (BA Management) and holds advanced degrees in Management (MA Management) from Webster University, Logistics (MS Logistics) from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and Accounting (MAccy) from Texas State University.
John Struck is a member of the Prosperity Board of Directors and was appointed in January 2019. He has been a Managing Director of Wand Partners since he joined the firm in 1995. Prior to this, Mr. Struck held several leadership positions including Chief Financial officer and Director for Heller Financial as well as Director at Prudential Bache Securities in the Corporate Finance division. He began his career in 1974 at the General Electric Company, where he served in a variety of financial and management positions in the US and abroad.
